Community Involvement

Giving Back Is Apart Of Our DNA!

Transportation Matters

Transportation Matters network

Transportation Matters (TM) is a network of the Nation’s best auto repair shops that are dedicated to a common mission of helping those in need within our communities, by being a reputable local resource for complete automotive repairs. Individuals or families in the care of local nonprofits due to financial hardships can go through agencies such as Mile High United Way or other agencies that provide TANF funds in order to help people get the car repairs they are in need of.

All Pride Auto Care locations have officially become a member of the Transportation Matters movement and we are incredibly excited to be able to work with local agencies & nonprofits that are aimed at helping people that would otherwise not be able to afford the upkeep & maintenance of their family’s vehicle. Our hope is to help further the Transportation Matters Mission and provide EXCELLENT & strategic auto repairs, educate people about their cars & their repairs, and help continuously inform the nonprofits on how their funds are being used in regards to the repairs being done.

We always have & always will take pride in being transparent & diligent with our customers regarding the needed repairs and their explanations. No one should ever put off vehicle repairs due to the fear of being taken advantage of, or not having the proper shop to go to; And with those thoughts in mind, it was a no brainer that PAC & TM should join forces to better serve our Colorado Communities.

Vitalant Blood Donation

Blood Donation from our staff

Here at Pride Auto Care we believe in helping people the best way possible. Due to the COVID Pandemic, many regularly scheduled blood drives that were scheduled to take place have been cancelled; and those unfortunate cancellations took place at a time when donations are desperately needed.

This is a small way to help others in our community that need our support. We highly encourage others if you are able and feel comfortable in doing so to consider masking up, make an appointment, & donate as well. During this time, we need to stick together and help one another during this uneasy period. There is power in numbers and power in compassion, support, & lending a helping hand, or in this case blood.

Memorial Scholarship Foundation

The Debbie Jackson & Darrell Pridemore Memorial Scholarship was originally setup by Bunny and Wayne Jackson in memory of their daughter who died at the young age of 24 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She never gave up and never let it get her down even though she was diagnosed with it at a very young age.

The foundation is proud to assist students in the memory of wonderful caring people such as Debbie Jackson & Darrell Pridemore. In November 2016, the foundation expanded to include the Pridemore family who have been an active supporter of the Debbie Jackson & Darrell Pridemore Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament for years. Darrell Pridemore battled cancer for seven years, passing away in July 2016.

The Pridemore’s own and operate the Pride Auto Care shops in the south metro area and have been a committed and integral part of the Parker community for many years. Darrell’s daughter, Mallory, was one of the 2016 scholarship recipients. Each of the last several years, our foundation has given out a whopping $16,0000 (4 – $4000 each) scholarships to Douglas County High School seniors.

See our website www.DarrellPridemore.org for more details.

Please join the Debbie Jackson Memorial Scholarship Foundation Board of Directors in this event to raise money for these kids along with having a great day on the golf course!

Rachel’s Challenge

Rachel’s Challenge

September 19, 2019

Sometimes between all the craziness the days bring, we all tend to forget what truly matters; and one of those essential necessities to humanity, is kindness. Pride Auto Care was lucky enough to spend an afternoon at the Rachel’s Challenge (RC) Headquarters in Littleton Colorado and donate to a cause that we all believe is important. We can’t thank the team at RC enough for their work around the globe promoting kindness, acceptance, and being a leader in transforming schools and individuals to be better connected, safer, and abolishing the concept of bullying all together. Our family values match so wonderfully to their mission and we loved being able to donate to their cause as well as meet the amazing crew that makes the difference in our communities both near and far. For more on Rachels’s Challenge and the story behind the phenomenon, please go to their website and learn about their mission, programs, and events (https://rachelschallenge.org/).

Ponderosa High School – Auto Tech Program

Ponderosa High School – Auto Tech Program

In order to learn you must practice; and in order to grow you must have a passion for what you do. In an industry that is ever changing, it is imperative to produce the hardworking, articulate, and well-educated technicians of the future.

Luckily here at Pride Auto Care we were able to personally speak with and tour the facility of the automotive tech program at Ponderosa High School; one of only two high schools that have this program in our Douglas County Community. Meeting with Mr. Derek Spohn & Mr. Tyson Hurley, we quickly caught on to how much they care for their students and their success in the automotive industry. We spent an afternoon bouncing ideas back & fourth regarding industry trends, curriculum, & customer service and it truly benefited both sides to have such good conversations. Heck, it even took us back to the days when we first started out. In leu of our mutual passion for trade school promotion & future ASE Certified techs we donated a used vehicle to the PHS Auto Program for them to be able to learn and practice essential car care items such as tire rotations, oil changes, & early stage diagnostics. It was an honor to see where this program is, where it is heading, & to speak with the students about who we are as a company and what their bright future looks like in automotive services. This program is going to be essential to the future, and Pride Auto Care is grateful to have begun this relationship and can’t wait to be involved and help however we can in the future.

Toys for Tots

The sparkle in a child’s eyes of wonder and delight shines brighter than any Christmas light.

There is no greater joy than being able to give back to the communities that we call home. This year Pride Auto Care spent a couple weeks collecting presents for The Marines – Toys for Tots.

At each of our locations we collected a wide range of toys for both boys & girls of all ages. With the help of our wonderful customers and even our amazing staff members we were able to collect over seventy toys in a matter of days.

The Christmas season is meant to be merry & bright, but unfortunately, we know this season can be hard on many families. Pride Auto Care wanted to help spread warmth, smiles, happiness, and hope this holiday season for as many families as we could. Toys for Tots is a great way to do it.

Being able to personally drop off the collection of toys today was nothing but extraordinary… We saw a huge warehouse full of toys galore, and a TFT Team that is working tirelessly to organize, compile, and distribute the donations in order to make many dreams come true.

Talking with program coordinators for just a quick moment we found out that all the donations will be used to serve over 2300 individual families in the Denver Metro Area, and that number does not include the donations Toys for Tots is putting together for local churches and community groups as well.

We thank Toys for Tots for spear heading this amazing cause (for over 70 years now) and our loyal customers for pitching in.

Please remember the reason for the season; and have yourself a safe, cheerful, & blessed Christmas with your loved ones. We are blessed.
